PREPROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
Exciting curricula at FDU allow high school students to earn their bachelor’s and professional doctoral degrees in one year less than in traditional programs. Among the combined degree programs with professional schools are · B.S./M.D. · B.S./D.D.M. · B.S./D.D.S. · B.S./D.C. · B.S./D.Ph. · B.S./O.D. · B.S./D.P.M. · B.S./D.V.M. While in these programs, students are guaranteed admission into professional schools, provided they maintain appropriate academic standards. Students matriculate at FDU and complete course work leading to a BS degree in biology, chemistry or biochemistry. After three years of study, students then proceed to the desired professional school, where they spend 3.5 to 4 years completing the remainder of the B.S. degree requirements and the doctoral degree requirements. Students thus save a year of undergraduate tuition and accompanying expenses and, more importantly, get a head start on their professional careers. Ø New York University College of Dentistry, D.D.S. degree. Ø Karola Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences, M.D. degree Ø Ross University, School of Medicine, M.D. degree Ø New York Chiropractic College, D.C. degree Ø Logan Chiropractic College, D.C. degree Ø Parker College of Chiropractic, D.C. degree Ø Shenandoah University, Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy, D.Ph. degree Ø SUNY State College of Optometry, O.D. degree Ø New York College of Podiatric Medicine, D.P.M. degree Ø Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine, D.V.M. degree The accelerated programs are highly competitive and interviews for admission are required.
